Outdoor, natural light photographer based in the East Bay, CA.

Well, hello there! I’m Lana (she/her/hers). Glad you are here.

I’m a queer portrait photographer from Portland, Oregon and currently based in Berkeley, California. Before I became a photographer, I was an elementary school teacher. I’m also a mom to an 11-year-old and partner to my adventure buddy and wife.

Much of my joy comes from spending time outdoors--hiking with friends and family; a solo retreat to a rustic cabin or fire lookout; or simply sitting in my yard sipping on coffee. Nature has always been a steady force in my life through the highs, lows and in-betweens. I also enjoy watching the drama between my two cats unfold (seriously, better than a movie!), wandering around places that are new to me and rock climbing.

I strive for my services to be accessible and inclusive of all bodies, skin colors, genders, sexual orientations, abilities and ages. My rates are available on a sliding scale for people that are trans or BIPOC. Please reach out for more information about sliding scale rates.

See you soon :)

Land Acknowledgment

I, Lana Wright, acknowledge that much of my work takes place on the unceded ancestral homeland of the Ramaytush Ohlone who are the original inhabitants of the San Francisco Peninsula. As the indigenous stewards of this land and in accordance with their traditions, the Ramaytush Ohlone have never ceded, lost nor forgotten their responsibilities as the caretakers of this place, as well as for all peoples who reside in their traditional territory. As a guest, I recognize that I benefit from living and working on their traditional homeland. I wish to pay my respect by acknowledging the Ancestors, Elders and Relatives of the Ramaytush Community and by affirming their sovereign rights as First Peoples. I encourage my clients to do the same.

$5.00 from each photo session will be donated to the Intertribal Friendship House in Oakland, CA.
